The day that I dread most every year.... Valentine's Day

Well as you all know, it's that time of the year again. When you go to any store and you are walking and looking for what you need when you come across an aisle with hearts and objects that are in pink, red, and purple. Yup you guessed it, Valentine's day is approaching. Valentine's day is a day loved by most, well the ones who are in love or something like that. Then there are those who do not like Valentine's day, like me, and dread it when it approaches. Thank god it only comes once a year, but some people take it too seriously and celebrate the whole month of February. Most guys dread it because they have to go out and buy something girly or try to figure out what their girlfriend might want. While girls go out and buy outfits and get glammed up and make plans if their boyfriend hasn't already. It's just too much to stress over for one day, don't you think? Then there are those who don't have a Valentine and get depressed over it. Well don't be! Go out and make the best of it. Make plans with friends who don't have Valentine's either and do something non-valentineish. Try to stray from restaurants and movie theaters with romantic movies. If you are one of those who rather be alone, then rent a movie or do something to keep your mind off what day it is. Whether you are or are not celebrating this Hallmark invented holiday... just keep in mind it's only one day. Make the best of it, celebrate it with others or just make it an I LOVE ME DAY!

  2. Valentin's day is actually about a priest named Valentine who fell for the daughter of a prinson guard. He was arrested because the king sent out an order banning marriage so that he would have men committed to his army. The priest would marry people secretly and when he was put in jail and sentenced to death he fell for the prison guard's daughter and would sign his love letters to her: Your Valentine
